American Public Television-Distributed Lifestyle Programs, Create® TV Honored at 2016 TASTE Awards
Multiple public television winners were announced February 11 in San FranciscoBOSTON (February 17, 2016) – Create TV and multiple lifestyle programs distributed by American Public Television were honored at the 7th annual TASTE Awards in San Francisco. The TASTE Awards celebrate the year’s best achievements in food, fashion, home and lifestyle multimedia programming.
The TASTE Hall of Fame’s 2016 inductees include Create TV, public television’s premier lifestyle channel; Create programs America’s Test Kitchen, Jazzy Vegetarian and Pati’s Mexican Table; and Create hosts Martin Yan, Martha Stewart, Ming Tsai, P. Allen Smith and Sara Moulton. In the Special Achievement and Honoree category, Ciao Italia! host Mary Anne Esposito received a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Lidia’s Kitchen host Lidia Bastianich received a Pioneer Award.
Numerous Create programs were among this year’s winners, including A Chef’s Life (Best Food Program: Television); Mexico: One Plate at a Time With Rick Bayless (Best Chef in a Series; Best International Program); P. Allen Smith’s Garden Home (Ferrara Flame Award for Best Home Décor and Design Program); Christina Cooks (Best Interactive E-book); America’s Test Kitchen (Seiji Horibuchi Award for Best Animation Effects in a Series); Growing a Greener World (Best Green or Organic Program, Series or Film); Pati’s Mexican Table (Best Ethnic Program, Series or Film: Hispanic/Latino); Jazzy Vegetarian (Best Health & Fitness Program); and Annabel Langbein: The Free Range Cook (Best Home Chef in a Series).
